Instructions

  1. 1

Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into 1-inch cubes. In a medium bowl, toss the tofu cubes with the cornstarch and a pinch of salt until evenly coated.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, water, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes until smooth. Set aside.

  3. 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the coated tofu cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

Add the broccoli florets and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the same skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp and bright green.

  5. 5

Return the crispy tofu to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the prepared tahini sauce over the mixture. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 1-2 minutes.

  6. 6

Serve immediately, garnished with extra sesame oil if desired.
