
General Tso's Chicken
A classic Chinese-American dish featuring crispy fried chicken coated in a sweet, savory, and slightly spicy sauce.

Cut chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar for the sauce.

In a separate bowl, toss chicken pieces with 1/4 cup of cornstarch until coated.

Heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat to 350°F. Carefully add chicken pieces in batches and fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.

Drain all but 1 tbsp of oil from the wok. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour the prepared sauce into the wok. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Return the fried chicken to the wok. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water to create a slurry. Toss to coat the chicken evenly in the thickened sauce.
