
Classic Tuna Melt

Finely dice the celery and red onion. Drain the canned tuna.

In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, diced celery, diced red onion, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

Lay out four slices of bread. Spread the tuna salad mixture evenly onto two of the bread slices. Top each with two slices of cheddar cheese. Place the remaining two bread slices on top to form sandwiches.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet or on a griddle over medium heat.

Place the sandwiches in the skillet. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter halfway through cooking if needed.
