
Classic Irish Whiskey Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a small bowl, whisk together the Irish whiskey and buttermilk.

Alternately add the flour mixture and the whiskey-buttermilk mixture to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
