Instructions

  1. 1

Cook brown rice according to package directions.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

  5. 5

Pour the honey garlic mixture into the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry. Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

  6. 6

Return the meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and heated.

  7. 7

Serve the honey garlic turkey meatballs over cooked brown rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.
