Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.
