1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup pecans
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chunks

    In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

    Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter turns a rich golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and stir in the pecans. Let cool slightly.

    In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

    Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and the cooled brown butter pecan mixture.
