1 ½ cups long-grain white rice
3 cups water
3 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¾ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic powder and onion powder, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the rice to the saucepan and stir to coat in the butter mixture. Toast for 1 minute.

Pour in the water, add salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
