
Creamy Mushroom Chicken Skillet

Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season generously with salt and black pepper.

Slice mushrooms and finely chop the onion and garlic.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter to the skillet. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in chopped parsley. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until chicken is heated through and sauce is well combined.
