6 oz hot coffee
1.5 oz Irish whiskey
2 tsp sugar
2 oz heavy cream

Instructions

    Pour the cream over the back of a spoon held just above the surface of the coffee to create a distinct layer.

    Serve immediately.

    Warm a heatproof glass by filling it with hot water. Discard the water and dry the glass.

    Add the sugar to the warmed glass and stir in the hot coffee. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

    Add the Irish whiskey and stir gently.

    Lightly whip the heavy cream until it is just beginning to thicken but still pourable.
