Ingredients

2 lb mussels
6 tbsp butter
6 cloves garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
0.25 cup parsley
0.5 tsp salt
0.25 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Scrub and debeard the 2 lb mussels. Discard any that are open or cracked.

Melt the 6 tbsp butter in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the mussels to the skillet. Pour in the 2 tbsp lemon juice.

Cover and steam for 5 minutes, or until the mussels have opened. Discard any unopened mussels.

Stir in the chopped parsley, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Serve immediately.
