
Mussels in Garlic Butter Sauce

Prepare the mussels by scrubbing them clean and removing any beards. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

Finely mince the garlic and dice the shallots. Chop the parsley.

Melt the butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced shallots and sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate slightly.

Add the cleaned mussels to the pot. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that remain closed.
