
Classic Soy Butter Noodles

Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

While pasta is cooking, mince the garlic. Finely chop the green onions, separating white and green parts.

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Cook for another minute until the sauce is well combined.

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. If the sauce seems too thick, add a little reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
