
Classic Bread and Butter Pudding

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter one side of each bread slice.

Arrange half the bread slices, butter-side up, in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with half the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Layer the remaining bread slices on top, butter-side up. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread layers, pressing down gently to ensure the bread is soaked. Let stand for 15 minutes.
