¾ cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
3 eggs
¾ cup milk
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 medium apple
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 10-inch cast-iron skillet in the oven to heat.

    Peel, core, and thinly slice the apple. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

    In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until combined.

    Gradually whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.

    Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Add the 3 tablespoons of butter and swirl until melted.
