
Creative Baked Apple Cider Donuts

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a donut pan, or line a baking sheet with parchment paper if using donut cutters.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, 1.5 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, apple cider, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full, or pipe the batter.

Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

While the donuts cool, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in the remaining 1 tsp cinnamon.
