In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves. Mix until well combined and smooth. This is your butter batter.

To make each drink, place 2 tablespoons of the butter batter into a heatproof mug.

Add 1.5 ounces of dark rum to each mug.
