
Creamy Garlic Mussels
Tender mussels simmered in a rich, creamy garlic sauce, perfect served with crusty bread for dipping.

Rinse the mussels under cold water and scrub the shells. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

Mince the garlic and finely chop the shallot.

In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot to the pot and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

Add the cleaned mussels to the pot. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened.

Stir in the heavy cream, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Heat through for another 1-2 minutes but do not boil.
