1 cup amaranth grains
3 cups water
0.25 tsp salt
2 tbsp honey
0.5 cup milk

Rinse the 1 cup amaranth grains thoroughly under cold water.

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed 1 cup amaranth grains and 3 cups of water. Add 0.25 tsp of salt.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. The porridge should thicken as the amaranth absorbs the liquid.

Once thickened, remove from heat. Stir in 2 tbsp of honey and 0.5 cup of milk.
