Instructions
- 1
Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2
While pasta is cooking, peel and devein shrimp if necessary. Pat them dry.
- 3
Mince the garlic.
- 4
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- 5
Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- 6
Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- 7
Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- 8
Add the remaining butter to the skillet and stir until melted, creating a sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
- 9
Add the drained linguine and chopped fresh parsley to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss to combine.
- 10
Serve immediately.
